How the Ashby integration works

Ashby is API-first by design. Unlike some ATS platforms that offer a built-in careers page builder, Ashby's documentation points teams directly to their API for building an external careers page — describing it as "the most amount of effort, but also providing full flexibility." Their own example of this approach is PostHog. In other words, Ashby gives you the tools to build something exceptional, but expects you to have the team to do it. Voyse is that team.
Voyse uses Ashby's full API — the same approach used by companies like PostHog to build entirely custom careers experiences. This gives complete control over the candidate-facing experience: job listings, job descriptions, application forms, and all employer brand content, hosted on your own domain and built around your visual identity.
That's exactly the right question to ask. Teams that choose Ashby have already signalled that they care about quality — in their hiring workflow, their data, and their candidate experience. Voyse is built to complement that. Your careers site should feel as considered and polished as the ATS behind it. Voyse handles the full candidate journey end to end, including the application form. Candidates browse, engage with your employer brand content, and apply — all within your branded Voyse careers site. All application data flows directly into Ashby as normal, so nothing changes for your TA team's workflow inside the ATS.
By default, Voyse syncs with your Ashby job feed every hour, so new roles typically appear on your careers site within 60 minutes of going live in Ashby. For teams that need faster updates, we also support manual syncs triggered from the Voyse platform and webhook-based syncing for near-instant updates. Yes. Voyse uses Ashby's API data to map jobs to different templates or visual treatments automatically — by department, team, location, or any other property available in your Ashby setup. In practice this means you can have a distinct Early Careers experience, separate appearances for different brands or regions, or campaign-specific pages for priority hires, all driven by how roles are structured in Ashby.
A standard branded careers site can be live within days. A full solution with custom design, multiple templates, and approval rounds typically takes 6–8 weeks from kickoff to launch. Ashby's own documentation notes that building a fully custom careers page using their API is "the most amount of effort" — Voyse absorbs that effort entirely, so your team doesn't have to. Once deployed, the platform is self-service.
Rarely. The only point where engineering is typically needed is applying a DNS change to point your custom subdomain at Voyse (for example, careers.yourcompany.com). Everything else — setup, branding, content management, and ongoing updates — is handled by your TA or employer brand team directly, or by Voyse's customer success team during onboarding.
